Front-line Nigerian
gospel singer and Globacom ambassador, Sammie Okposo has intensified his
humanitarian efforts to further bring hope to the community through his Sammie
Okposo Hope Initiative (SOHI).
Latest developments revealed that the singer has taken up responsibilities to train a young man who is affected by Autistic, a neuro-developmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication throughout his tertiary institution. The beneficiary, Abiodun Olumide Kupe who hails from Badagry in Lagos just got an admission to study Business Administration at Lagos State Polytechnic.
Speaking on this opportunity, the recipient, who could barely speak expressively, was full of praises to Okposo. "I'm very excited about Sammie Okposo's gesture and am full of thanks. My prayer is that God will continue to bless him and his family".
A representative from Sammie Okposo Hope Initiative said this is just one of the numerous ways SOHI has been affecting the lives of the people and there are no plans to desist from doing such.
It will be recalled that the founder of SOHI, Sammie Okposo was also involved in the ‘Walk for The Blind’ to raise funds in buying the White Canes. He was also on hand to assist the people displaced by flood in Delta State with relief items such as food stuffs, clothing and medical supplies. Sammie is also actively involved with the World Refuge Day. This year's edition is slated for June 20th and he will be working with the National Commission of Refugees, Migrants & Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) to get food and clothes for the less priviledged.
