9ICE, OMO BABA, OTHERS MARK BIRTHDAY WITH CHARLES GRANVILLE AS HE DROPS NEW SINGLE

It was the gathering of some of the prominent entertainment industry personalities recently in Lagos when multi-talented gospel artiste and United Nations Peace Ambassador, Charles Granville celebrated his birthday. Several celebrities took turns to eulogize him and described him as a truthful friend and colleague.

The event which was hosted by ace comedian, Omo Baba had in attendance top personalities like 9ice, ID Cabasa, Don T, Nosa, Obi Emelonye, among many others who took out time to be part of the celebration and listen to his new single titled Angel.

Charles released the new single few days to his birthday and dedicated it to the memory of his late friend, Peter Bello who was a victim of the Bristow Helicopter Crash in Lagos. The new single which reflects Charles vocal dexterity and produced by ID Cabasa was recorded as a soundtrack for Chico Ejiro’s latest Movie, When Dreams Fall Apart. It was nominated in the Best Movie Soundtrack category at the 2014 edition of the Abuja Film International Festival.

The talented singer ventured into Nollywood in 2012 when he made an appearance in Obi Emelonye blockbuster movie, Last Flight To Abuja and that immediately got him a huge recognition in the movie industry. Charles played the role of a company executive and acted alongside top actors such as Hakeem Kae-Kazeem, Omotola Ekehinde, Jim Iyke, Jide Kosoko, Anthony Monjaro and many other stars. He also wrote the Theme Song, By My Side for the movie. His soundtracks are usually very memorable and he demonstrated this infectious delivery in top movie producer, Obi Emelonye’s movie series, The Calabash.

Charles annual concert, Shabach slated for October 10th, 2015 in Port-Harcourt will also continue in its tradition of dazzling music lovers with classic tunes as preparations are already in top gear.
